Ramjas College - A Brief intro

Ramjas College was started in the year 1917 by the educationist and humanitarian Rai Kedar Nath. The college is allied to the University of Delhi and provides classes in under graduation as well as post graduation courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. The college now boasts of providing some unique services apart from the regular ones and it is one of the oldest colleges in New Delhi. Ramjas College has been selected as one of the most excellent colleges in India. Ramjas College becomes top ten amongst the colleges in Delhi in every three departments- Arts Commerce, and Science. Ramjas College is working with a mission of providing better education and also providing intellectual excellence, and vocational training. The college’s viewpoint is to understand the overall academic, imaginative, cultural and socio-political development and progress of both the students and the college community in its entirety. 

2004-2007 Batch - The Golden Era-- Ramjas Diary

From Political fights to some magnificent achievements Batch 2004-07 proved itself to be the best batches ever in the history of Delhi university.
In 2005-06 just after this batch completed its first year of Graduation Ramjas was in news across the globe for its High Cut offs 2 get admission.
I can still remember THE HINDU headline 'AFTER STEPHENS ITS RAMJAS".
Well no doubt it was the efforts of charismatic students of 2004-07 batch.
Gagan Sharma as the President of Students Union(2004-05) with  lead his team with hardworking and dedicated youngsters like Desh Ratna(Secretary) and celebrated the yearly fest MOSAIC and dozens of other events throughout the year (first time in the history of Ramjas).
ECAC with dedicated members like Riddhi Sharma, Nikhil Menon, Vinay, Desh ratna, Nav Kislay, Amrita Sharma, Raghvendra, Anand etc gave some of the most remarkable performances throughout the years.

In 2005 Ramjas College became the pioneer to Introduce girls hostel within College Premises.
In 2005 only NSS unit came into existence with founder members Desh Ratna, Abhilekh Tiwari, Natalia Kaul etc and won almost all the competitions and proved itself the best NSS unit of DU.

Year 2005 was the best as well as the worst years in the history of Ramjas college. 13 students went to jail for almost a week (Jaat-Bihari fights).

Well its very tough to pen down all those students who brought name & fame to my college but few of them who are impossible  forget --
